Canada’s Business Immigration Program seeks to promote economic development and employment by attracting people with venture capital, business acumen and entrepreneurial skills to Canada. There are 3 categories of Business Immigration: Investors; Entrepreneurs; and Self-Employed.
Investors
The Immigrant Investor Program (also known as the Investor Category of the Business Class) seeks to attract experienced businesspersons and capital to Canada. This category is ideal if you want to immigrate to Canada but do not wish to be obligated to engage in any type of business/employment activity upon your arrival.
To be eligible to apply for Permanent Residence in Canada in the Investor Category, as an Investor, applicants must have:
- Net world assets of C$1,600,000 or higher that may include spouse’s assets as well, and
- Business management experience by owing & managing qualifying business or employed in the management level where at least 5 [five] full time employees were managed for at least two years in the preceding five years or any professionals, such as; Physician, Chartered Accountant, Engineer, Lawyer, etc, to qualify.
Once selected by the immigration authority, applicant needs to invest C$800,000 to Canada government for 5 years, which will be refunded upon expiry of 5 years term without any interest.
In the alternative, applicant may choose financing option. In that case, a Canadian authorized bank/broker will finance to complete the investment of C$800,000 for which applicant needs to pay interest about C$220,000 once application is approved by the immigration. However, we presently offer interest C$180,000 in the financing option for certain period of time as promotion under golden package.
